meet the team

meet Michelle

Michelle has been immersed in the world of yoga since 2010, when she stumbled on the healing powers of yoga following a series of martial arts injuries. After falling in love with yoga, Michelle trained as a hatha yoga, yin yoga and trauma-sensitive yoga teacher. Michelle is also a registered nurse, Mental Health First Aid England instructor and crisis counsellor. She is passionate about psychological wellbeing and has a wealth of practical and academic experience that she brings to her yoga practice. Michelle empowers her students through their own journey of holistic healing to find inner peace. Michelle is passionate about self-compassionate approaches to self-acceptance and self-care.

meet Laura

Laura has practiced yoga since, as a teenager, being advised it would help her posture – her love and appreciation of yoga developed as it started to help her physical well-being and its hook was the feeling of relaxation at the end of a class. This motivated Laura to a life-long personal practice culminating in her training as a Hatha and Yin yoga teacher with a trauma-informed focus. Laura has also applied her professional experience as a midwife, health visitor and family nurse to her life-long passion of yoga practice and also offers yoga classes in pregnancy. Laura’s teaching applies an invitational, empowering approach with the aim of raising self-awareness of one's inner teacher.

meet Sam

Sam has practiced yoga for over 25 years now and, like many people, her yoga journey began simply as a means of exercise – but Sam soon realised that yoga had far more to offer. Through some turbulent times of life, yoga provided the peace and stillness required to build emotional resilience alongside physical well-being.
Passionate about mental health and yoga, Sam trained as a trauma-informed Hatha yoga teacher. She is also a qualified children’s yoga teacher and regularly delivers fun sessions in primary school, alongside mindfulness sessions.
Sam was a Registered Nurse for 18 years, working in GP practice and A&E. As a culmination of Sam’s personal and working life experience, she is now training as a children’s yoga therapist. Sam is passionate about providing a person-centred, trauma-informed approach to the yoga and mindfulness that she delivers.
