why yoga?

The benefits of yoga have been well articulated – yoga helps not only physical but also psychological well-being, as a result of the mind connecting to the body through movement, breathing and meditation. Trauma-informed yoga, in particular, aims to cultivate an awareness of the mind-body connection and build self-regulation skills to address the ways in which trauma is held in the body. Yoga offers many different healing techniques to help people through trauma and stressful life-events.
